Wayne, IN, son Ron Glass of Angola, IN, step-son Brian (Stephanie) Lavy of Huber Heights, OH, step-daughter Angela (Tom) Rooks of Hinesville, GA, step-son Mitchell Lavy of Coldwater, OH, step-son Scott (Jenni) Lavy of Russia, OH, step-son Corey (Jill) Lavy of Decatur, IN, step-son Craig Lavy of Russia, OH, sister Jean (Jim) Rigsby of Troy, OH, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents Lester and Betty Glass; son Karl Glass (December 3, 1999)
He was a graduate of Piqua High School (Class of 1956). A proud American, he served his country with tours of duty in three branches of its military: the United States Army, United States Air Force and United States Marine Corps. He was a retired production employee from the Magnavox Corp. in Ft. Wayne, IN and had also worked for the Dayton Daily News. John had a keen interest in old postcards, and had a collection that included more than forty thousand of them. He also enjoyed collecting stamps and coins.
Services are scheduled to begin 2:30 p.m. Saturday April 14, 2018 at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys, with the Rev. Don Clinger officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
