Bill J. Reed, 79, of Merritt Island, passed away and went to Heaven on Sunday, May 29th at his home with his family by his side. Bill was born in Indiana and moved to Florida in 1963, after receiving his bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He was a math and drafting teacher at Edgewood Junior High while earning his master's degree in Industrial Education before he began his career at Kennedy Space Center where he remained until his retirement. He loved fishing, hunting, reading and listening to music. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce, 2 sisters, Avonne Lee and Marcie of Indiana, 4 daughters, Sandra and husband George, Tami, Brenda and husband Jared, Jennifer and husband Herman from Kansas, 4 grandchildren, Kellie, Kristina, Timothy, and Zachary, 1 great grandchild, Emily. Services will be held at Island Cremations and Funeral Home, on Merritt Island on Friday, June 3rd at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Hospice of Health First. He is loved very much and will be missed dearly.
