Vernon Clayton Blake, 88, of Grants Pass died Monday, March 25, 2002, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors chapel. Southern Oregon Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
Blake was born Jan. 31, 1914, in Bray, Calif. He was a mill worker, and moved to Grants Pass in 1972.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.
Survivors include two daughters, Darlene Mahoney of Lakeport, Calif., and Ethel L. Barnes of Muskogee, Okla.; four sons, Clayton Blake of Cathedral City, Calif., Vernon L. Blake of Covelo, Calif., Leonard Blake of Grants Pass, and Norman Blake of Garlon, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
