David Casey was unexpectedly taken home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the age of 68. He was born October 19, 1949 in El Campo, TX to Luella and Edward Casey. David was better known to all his friends as “Shagg.” After graduating from El Campo High School he began working at Mustang Catapillar. This led to him owning his own welding business. His career continued at Dow Chemical, at the time of his death he was a Captain at the TDCJ Darrington Unit Farm Shop. For the last 40 years David was known to so many as “Santa.” His greatest passion was riding his motorcycles “Liz and Beth.”

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother.

He will always be loved and remembered by his devoted wife and soul mate of 45 years Sandy Casey: his children: Shanelle (Buck) Henson, Jade (Amber) Casey and Destiny Casey; Grandchildren: David, Kally and Maggy Henson and Kyla Casey; Sister: Rita Gann and Kathy Orsak; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Palms Funeral Home, Angleton TX from 3-6:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in First United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Hawley Cemetery in Blessing, Tx.

Serving as pallbearers: David Henson “D-Bone”, Kenneth Henson “Brother”, Kally Henson “Calico Kitty”, Buck Henson “Big’un”, Shane West “Knucklehead”, Matt West “Nephew”, & Travis Gann” Trapper.”

The family requests casual attire because that’s the way “Daddy” would have wanted it.
