Services for Charles E. Shuck, 83, rural Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Old German Brethren Church in Willow Springs. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pleasant Grove.

Mr. Shuck died Sunday, May 30, 1993, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 4, 1910, in Douglas County, the son of Oscar Byron and Mary Gertrude Deay Shuck. He was a lifelong resident of the Willow Springs community, and was a farmer and dairyman. He later worked as a retail clerk in Lawrence until retiring in 1971.

Mr. Shuck was a member of the Old German Brethren Church.

He married Alda Marie Brohammer on Oct. 1, 1930. She died Jan. 2, 1982. He married Ruth Crady Muckey on Aug. 6, 1983. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Darrell, rural Baldwin, and Duane, Overbrook; a stepson, Marion Muckey, Lawrence; a daughter, Barbara Knaus, Homestead, Fla.; two brothers, Lloyd, rural Baldwin, and Byron, Ottawa; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
