Jeanette S. Brooks, age 86, of Griffin, Ga, passed away on April 08, 2018, which would have been her daddy's 110th birthday. Jeanette was born on April 26, 1931 in Griffin, GA to the late Charlie Baxter Stapleton and Martha Eugenia Wooten Stapleton.

She was loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Bass United Methodist Church. She was a lady of many talents. She was a bank teller, a paralegal for several local attorneys, a dedicated historian for The United Methodist Church, a history buff, and earned her real estate license. She never felt real estate was her calling however, because she wanted young couples, buying their first home, to get the very best deal. She was not as concerned about her commission as she was getting a payment that the young couple could afford.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 69 years, Horace Paul Brooks of Macon, daughters; Camille B. Watts, and Donna B. Pierce (Tony) Lavey of Macon, granddaughters, Kathleen Pierce Wilder, Susannah Leigh Hayes, and Deanna W. (Scotty) Sutton all of Macon, great grandchildren, Charlie, Aaron, Austin and Sam.

Funeral services were held on April 11, 2018 in the chapel of Bass United Methodist Church. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery, Griffin GA.
