Maxine was born in Moody, Texas, to the late Paine and Mattie Barham. Maxine graduated from Waco High School in 1947 and Baylor University in 1951. She taught in Jefferson Moore and Waco High Schools. She was most remembered for her Spanish teaching and was loved by all her students. She and Bill Williams were married in 1952. Maxine has been a lifelong Baptist and was a member of First Baptist Church of Waco.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; and her brother, Carl Barham.
She is survived by daughter, Laura Bing and husband, Micah, of Waco; son, Carl Ray Williams, of Waco; grandchildren, Tiffany Bing and Joshua Bing; sister, Ila Mae Green; and many other family members and friends.
