Maxine DeJarnett, age 87 of Blandville, Kentucky, entered her heavenly home on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah. She was a long time member of Blandville Baptist Church in Blandville, Kentucky.
Mrs. DeJarnett is survived by two daughters, Glenna Sams and husband Wayne of Cunningham, Kentucky and Yvonne Gant and husband Ricky of Blandville, Kentucky; one sister, Lavon Berry of Paducah; three grandchildren, Eric Sams, Curtis Sams and Aaron Gant; five great-grandchildren, Devin Sams, Laken Martin, Abby Sams, Kinlee Sams and Hudson Sams; her best friend from childhood, Aunt Catherine DeJarnett, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Roy Lee “Buddy” DeJarnett; her parents, Lloyd Mack Arington and Clara Uldene (Elliot) Arington; one sister, Annette Feezor.
Funeral Services for Mrs. DeJarnett will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe with David Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Blandville, Kentucky.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home in Wickliffe.
