Jerry W. Powers, age 71 of Harriman passed away Saturday, April 7th, 2018 in his home. He was a member of the Victory Baptist Church of Harriman on Emory Heights Road. He was Vietnam Veteran in the US Army. He loved his cars and car parts as well as gardening. He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Powers; Parents: Winfield & Helen Powers; Daughter, Tammy Barnwell; Grandson, Dusty Barnwell, 4 Brothers: Harvey, Larry, Thomas, and Benjamin; and sister, Viola Baker. He is survived by:

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 10th, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 in the chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, TN. Graveside and interment services will be held on Wednesday, April 11th at 1:00 pm in the Rose Cemetery with Chaplain Bruce Foster officiating. Full military honors will be presented by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard. Evans Mortuary is serving the family of Jerry W. Powers.
