Jenny attended Jefferson Elementary, Linus Pauling Middle School, Corvallis High School, and Oregon State University. Jenny played basketball throughout her childhood as a Future Spartan, and played on the Corvallis High School Spartan Basketball teams for four years. Her dad had the honor of being her assistant coach her junior and senior years on varsity. One of Jenny's true passions in life was interacting with children and she worked at Hand in Hand Learning Center at Zion Lutheran School in Corvallis. She loved her little people and they loved her. Even in her final days, Jenny checked her phone often for new pictures sent by co-workers of "her kids." Jenny lived life "Large" and with enthusiasm. She had a spicy vocabulary and was hilariously funny. Jenny had a beautiful voice and sang Karaoke often at home and when socializing with her cherished friends. If you asked her friends what their favorite thing was about Jenny, they would likely say "She made me laugh." Jenny loved attending country music concerts, camping out, and taking trips to the beach.
Jenny is survived by her parents, Jeff and Lori; brother, Joe; dog, Kelsey; grandparents, Bob and Susan Schmidt; Joseph Huff and Elizabeth Newcombe; aunts, Kim (Schmidt) Knorr and Lisa Huff; uncle, Mike Vasilopoulos (Christie); and cousins Lucas, Nick and Alex. Jenny was a beautiful girl who touched many hearts. Fly with the angels, sweet Jenny. A memorial service in celebration of Jenny's life will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 2745 NW Harrison Boulvard, Corvallis, Oegon on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 2:00pm.
