Mrs. Kathleen M. Green,"Kitty", 69, of Homer, N.Y., passed away Wednesday April 4, 2018 at University Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y. after a brief illness. Born July 31, 1948 in Cortland, Kitty was a daughter of Warren and Barbara Lee Gridley, and an area resident her entire life
Kitty had faithfully served her country in the military serving with the United States Air Force, and she had retired from Cortland Memorial Hospital where she was employed as a secretary for many years.
She is survived by her two daughters; Kellie Green of Homer and Kimberly Green (Alfred Poon) of Boston, Mass; a sister; Pauline (Gordon) Garrity of Cortland and a granddaughter; Katherine Poon of Boston. In addition to her parents; Kitty was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth A. Green in May of 2016 and by a sister; Melody Nye in November of 2017.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Riccardi Funeral Home 69 N. Main St. Cortland, N.Y. The family will be present to receive friends on Monday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel prior to services. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, N.Y.
