Terri was born June 29, 1958, in McAlester, Oklahoma to Omer and Beverly Butler Carter. Terri graduated from S.O.S.U with a Master’s Degree in Education. She was a dedicated Art teacher for over 20 years. She taught for many schools in Haskell, LeFlore, and McIntosh counties and Marietta Public Schools, in Oklahoma. She loved all of her students and led many to love and appreciate art as she did.
Terri is survived by her daughter, Megan Jackson, and husband Bradly, of Durant, Oklahoma; mother, Beverly Jackson, of Stigler, Oklahoma; brother, Richard Carter and wife, Kara of Kinta, Oklahoma; grandson, Carter Jackson of Durant, Oklahoma; one uncle Fred and wife, Marsha of Kinta, Oklahoma, as well as cousins and beloved friends. Terri was a great Mother and an amazing Grandmother. She loved her grandson Carter with all of her heart. She was loved by many. Her hobbies included being outside by the pool, spending time with loved ones, painting, embroidering, driving her Mustang, and spending time with her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her father, Omer Carter and her step-father, Jerry Jackson.
