Mrs. Glenda Jane Arp Lewis, age 73, of Douglasville passed away Monday, March 3, 2014. She was born on December 19, 1940, in Taylorsville, Georgia, the daughter of the late Luther and Jane Arp. She was a devoted member of Central Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by 7 brothers. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Bobby Gene Lewis, Sr., of Douglasville; sons, Bobby Gene Lewis, Jr., and his wife, Sherry, Steven Wayne Lewis, and his wife, Sherry, and Jeffery Howard Lewis, all of Douglasville; sister, Barbara Martin of Cartersville; brother, John Arp, and his wife, Gail, of Bremen; grandchildren, Nicholas Lewis, Cole Lewis, Rachel Lewis, Jessica Lewis, Rebekah Lewis, Steven Lewis, Jr., Jade Lewis, Caden Lewis, and Ashlin Lewis. Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted with Hightower’s Memorial Chapel of Douglasville.
