She was a retired Sales Clerk for the Navy Amphibious Base Exchange. She was a native of Statesville, N.C., and was a member of Bayside Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Lynda Pillow of Virginia Beach; one son, James D. Weir of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Jeanne Nissen of Gaston Lakes, N.C., and Elizabeth Berkland of Westminster, S.C.; two brothers, Jack Davis of Henrico, N.C., and Elger Davis of Frederick, Md; three grandchildren, Stephanie Smith, Jeffrey Pillow, and James Pillow; and one great-grandchild, Jessica Smith.
The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. Richard Keever. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is handling the arrangements. The family will receivefriends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
