Robert Irvin Vaught, 71, native and lifelong resident of the Salinas valley, passed away on March 28, 2018 at his home in Gonzales. He was surrounded by his wife, Beverly, daughter, Leslie and grandson, Dennis. Robert was born on March 8, 1947 in Salinas, California to William and Eva Vaught and graduated from Salinas High School in 1965.

Robert was a very hard worker as a truck driver. His passions were sports, hunting, camping and loved ocean fishing. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. He will be truly missed by all that were honored to be in his life.

Robert is survived by his wife, Beverly Vaught, daughter, Leslie Slattery, son, Eric Vaught, grandson, Dennis Slattery, great-grandson, Hunter Slattery, his two brothers, Richard and Phillip Vaugt, his sister, Patsy Bernardi, his sister-in-laws, brothers-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.

At family request, private services will be held. Cremation to take place.
