A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the Mount Olive United Methodist Church in Mount Olive for Heather Rachelle Williams, 41 of Mount Olive, who passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at her residence.

Reverend Jerry Beam will officiate at the services with a private family burial in the Mount Olive City Cemetery. Special music will be provided by Mr. Randy Williams and Mr. Charles Leggett. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Ms. Williams was born on February 27, 1977 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was a graduate of the Mount Olive Attendance Center Class of 1995, Jones County Junior College with an Associate’s Degree in 1997, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and Family Relations from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2002. Ms. Williams was dedicated to helping others. She chose a career in Child Life Services with agencies in the state. Ms. Williams was employed by the Department of Human Services in Jackson as a Child Life Specialist. She was a member of the Mount Olive United Methodist Church where she was active in the Hand Bell Choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benny Lavelle Williams and Deborah Kay Hollowell Williams; her maternal grandfather, Van Buren Hollowell; her paternal grandparents, Katie and Lavelle Williams; and one aunt, Betty Jo Chain.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Melissa Williams Dennis, and Daniel Dennis, and her two nephews, Jackson Dennis and Elijah Dennis, all of Oxford; her maternal grandmother, Amey Hollowell of Water Valley; one aunt, Judy Drummond of Mount Olive; two uncles, Randy Williams of Mount Olive, and George Hollowell, and his wife, Mary of Taylor; a special friend, Mike Thornton of Prentiss; and a host of cousins and friends.
