Joseph Harrison "Joe" Andrews, Sr., Age 69, passed on Saturday, March 7, 1970 at a local hospital. He was a resident of Route 6, Walker Hill Road, Franklin, Tennessee. Survived by wife, Vivian Dale Everrett Andrews; daughters, Evelyn June Andrews (Homer) Simpkins of Nashville and Mrs. Evert Atkinson of Fallon, Nevada; son, Joseph Harrison Andrews, Jr. of Franklin; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Andrews, Mamie Andrews Tibbs of Nashville; and brother, Alfred Andrews of Nashville. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 1970 at the Buena Vista Funeral Home located at 3634 Clarksville Hwy. in Bordeaux. Rev. C. E. Clay officiated. Active pallbearers were Robert Haddix, Ernest Croslin, Ray Simpkins, Joe Moss, Bill Moss, and Thomas Jerry "Dick" Moss, Sr. Interment followed in the Section K area of the Spring Hill Cemetery located in Nashville.
