Tom's journey with AML ended at home on January 13, 2018, with his loving family. Tom was born in Erie, PA, grew up in Lima, OH and lived all his adult life in Central Ohio. He attended Lima Senior High and OSU, with a major in history. He served in the Marine Corps from 1965 to 1968, spending a year in Vietnam.

Tom loved reading, woodworking, cars and racing, sailing and traveling. He served on the Northland Community Council and was a longstanding member of Charity Newsies. He spent his career in the financial services industry, retiring in 2016.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Susan, sisters Susan (John Dalzell) Lehman and Mary Rose, nephew Matt (Sarah) Rose, niece Katie (Joe) Shaffer, brother Terry Thomas and beloved extended family and friends. He is predeceased by parents Thomas and Katharyn Conner.

We are eternally grateful for our special friends, neighbors and family members who spent countless hours supporting us on this journey. We also wish to thank the incredible team of practitioners at The James for their care and support. Special thanks to Drs.
