DeWitt Iowa Sara (Reilly) O'Meara-Cromer, 107, of DeWitt died on Thursday October 13, 2005 at Westwing Place in DeWitt. Inurnment will be in St Joseph Cemetery, DeWitt.
Sara Was born May 16, 1898, on a farm near Lost Nation Iwa, to John and Emma(Rands) Reilly. She was the oldest living resident of Clinton County. She married Martin Benedict O'Meara in 1916. Together, they had five children and lived on a farm near Petersville, Iowa. Her husband, Martin O'Meara, died on January 23, 1938. She married George Cromer in 1949. He died in 1987.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Petersville and later on in life she became a member of St Joseph Catholic Church in DeWitt.
She is survived by one daughter of Maquoketa, Iowa; and one son of Elkader, Iowa; 32 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
Preceding Sara in death were both her husbands, three of her children, Patrick and Thomas O'Meara and Geneva Weeks, two sisters, Elizabeth and Geneva, and numerous other relatives and friends.
