Debbie loved to write, paint and do photography. She loved animals, the Oklahoma Sooners, the Idabel Warriors and always pulled for the underdog.
In her younger years she enjoyed acting with the Community Players, playing golf with husband and many friends, fishing and traveling to OU football games. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Idabel and enjoyed being a youth leader with her husband, James for four years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Barbara DeBerry, her husband of 36 years, Dr. James G. Butler and her daughter, Natalie Brewster.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and stepchildren, Amber Payne and husband Brett of Owasso, Oklahoma, Dr. Trey Butler and wife Cynthia of Joplin, Missouri, Jamie Gruber and husband Paul of Lawrenceville, Georgia, eleven grandchildren and her siblings, Tom DeBerry and wife, Nancy of Kilgore, Texas, Barbara Utley of Austin, Texas and Carol Stufflebeam and husband, Kenneth of Austin, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Services are under the direction of White Family Funeral Home, Idabel, Oklahoma.
