He was born in Newton, Kansas on May, 28, 1967 to Betty and Jon Douglas Williams. He grew up and attended school in Newton, Kansas. The family moved to Lame Deer and he attended high school at Lame Deer and Colstrip. He received his GED from Chief Dull Knife Memorial College and then attended Aviation School in Casper, WY. Jon was a roofer for many years. He loved working on cars, fishing and hunting.
He married Evaline Old Elk on Feb. 14, 1987 they were married 17 years. They had two children Jessica and Jon Jr. Brandon and Burnell Old Elk. He is preceded in death by his father, his paternal grandparents Fred Jr and Sophie Ellen Red Hat-Limpy; his maternal grandparents Virginia and McDought Williams. He is survived by his mother Betty Jo Limpy Williams, his sister Sharol Williams, his daughter Jessica ((Al) Takes the Horse; his son Jon ((Vanessa Leider) Allen Jr., his stepsons Brandon and Burnell Old Elk; his grandchildren Kaleigha, Andre and Kaison. Jon is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He enjoyed spending time with his family members.
Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 at the Lame Deer Mennonite Church with burial to follow at the Allison Bixby Memorial Cemetery in Lame Deer. Wake services on Wednesday at the Lame Deer Mennonite Church. Bullis Mortuary is entrusted with the arrangements.
