She was born on March 7, 1927 in Goodrich, Colorado. She lived there during her early childhood with her parents, six brothers, and two sisters. The family moved to California in 1942, finally settling in King City. Vicki worked at the local Safeway store until her retirement in the early 1990's. She was very involved in her beloved little church on Pearl Street. She was the leader and teacher for the children's division for many years and was loved by the children and their parents alike for her kindness and loving care.
She was a loving wife to her husband of 36 years, Larry Chambers, and a dedicated mother to her four sons and their families. She was very close to the rest of her family members and their families as well, and many happy Easter Sunday festivities were held at the family homestead on Bitterwater Road in King City.
Survivors: by her husband, Larry Chambers, her children, Gregory, Daniel, and Oscar Reyes, all of King City. Siblings: Joe Diaz of Santa Ana, Tony and Fred Diaz, of King City, Anna Zavala of Paso Robles, Tom Diaz of Salinas, and Lucy Salcido of King City. She had ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren as well as numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Felipa Diaz, daughter Esther Reyes, son Aurelio Reyes, grandson Christopher Reyes and brothers Felix and Lauro Diaz.
