Mary Grace Kildron Dillard, 81, went home to be with our Lord on March 24, 2018, after an apparent cardiac event that took her life.

Mary was born in Gattman, MS on January 27, 1937 to Joseph Berry Kildron and Mellie Minga Pickle Kildron. She was the youngest of 7 children. Her daddy was a railroad engineer and she enjoyed bringing him his lunch and riding the train with him down to their house.

Her family moved to Alabama where Mary graduated Phillips High School. She married Thomas Richard (Dick) Dees on December 16, 1957. They had 3 children: Richard Bradley Dees (1960), Joseph Clayton Dees (1963) and Marla Elizabeth Dees (1968).

She later married John Lester Dillard (Dec. 22, 1975). They lived in AL, FL and GA and retired to Dawsonville, GA where she gave of her time and talents. She was a spunky individual, great cook, had a green thumb and loved researching genealogy. On a first name basis with everyone, she was deeply loved by many and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Berry Kildron (1891-1952) and Mellie Minga Kildron (1895-1925), her siblings Doris Eleanor Kildron Sullivan (1929-2012), Frederick Joseph Kildron (1926-2000), Bessie Pickle Moore, Syble Pickle Floyd and Harold M. Pickle.

She is survived by her husband, John Lester Dillard (Dawsonville, GA), 1 sister, Wanda Nell Kildron Brice (Birmingham, AL), her 3 children: Richard Bradley Dees (Stone Mountain, GA), Joseph Clayton Dees (Cumming, GA) and Marla Elizabeth Dees Meyer (Ball Ground, GA), 8 grandchildren: Brian Dees, Cameron Dees, Lauren Dees, Kara Dees, Tyler Dees, Matthew Dees, Dane Meyer and Dalton Meyer and 1 great-grandchild, Beckett Meyer and many other extended family members, and countless friends.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Central Time on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Crenshaw Cemetery in Greenwood Springs, MS.
