Lola M. Freeman, 86, of Jefferson City, formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born June 15, 1931, in St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of the late Robert W. and Ethelene (Hodge) Carrow. On November 8, 1959, Lola was united in marriage in Morley, Missouri, to Odis W. Freeman, who preceded her in death in August 2001.

Lola and her husband Odis owned and operated Freeman’s Mobil Service Center from 1969 – 1987. She was also compassionate about her work with Walmart and the Children’s Miracle Network. Lola was a member of Capital City Christian Church, where she was active in the Women’s Ministry. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Republican Women’s Club. Lola was known by many as the “Card Lady”, because she sent cards to everyone for all occasions and holidays. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Lola was a very selfless and God loving woman, who loved taking care of others.

Lola is survived by her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, and a brother: Robert Carrow.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Capital City Christian Church with Rev. Don Fankhauser officiating. Graveside Services and Interment were in the Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
