Grace F. (Himes) Kirkpatrick, 96, of Fawn Township, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at UPMC-St. Margaret, surrounded by her family. She was born June 30, 1921, in Pittsburgh, to the late William M. and Laura E. (Keck) Himes, but has resided in Fawn for the past 60 years. For most of her life, Grace was a homemaker, who enjoyed gardening, bingo, puzzles and her family and friends. Grace served with the Fawn No. 1 fireman's Ladies Auxiliary for 50 years, making lifelong friends along the way. She also supported the Fawn community by serving as judge of elections for many years. Survivors include her daughters, Darlene (William) Barnes, of Leechburg, Mitzie L. Burke, of Plano, Texas, and Jeanne M. Kudlac, of Fawn; grandchildren, William Barnes, Robert Burke, Christopher Burke, Matthew Burke, Nicole Conrad and Stacie Pfender; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Bernard; her son, Robert Kirkpatrick; sisters, Salinda Mae Kennedy, Ruth Mahanna, Betty Storey, Lois Kirk and Nadine Howells; and brothers, Arch Moore and William Himes.

Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
