Freda Della Blevins Jones, 94, of Lexington, formerly of Wilkes County, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Lewis Fork Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dwayne Andrews officiating.
Mrs. Jones was born Jan. 4, 1924, in Wilkes County to Robert Winton and Rebecca Matilda Dyer Blevins. She retired from Hanes Hosiery and was a member of Lewis Fork Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Terry Jones; a sister, Valer Dyer; and a brother, Eugene Robert Blevins.
Mrs. Jones is survived by two daughters, Linda Christenson and husband, Peter of Palm Springs, Fla., and Betty Wiles of Kernersville, a son, Robert Jones of Lexington; four grandchildren, Donna Dee Ladd Wiles, Teresa Renee Wiles, Cheryl Lynn Ladd Wiles and Zachary Xavier Martin and wife, Nelly Nayive Martin; six great-grandchildren, Ashley Dawn Marie Smith, Terrence Michael Lee Thomas, Tristan Ladd Wiles, Gregory Alan Fenn, Shanna Renee McNeil and Arya Franchesca Martin; two great-great-grandchildren, Charles Alexander Hillegass and Thane Lee Thomas; and a nephew, Donnie Blevins, and a great-nephew, Ben Blevins.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Lewis Fork Baptist Church, 395 Lewis Fork Church Road, Purlear, N.C. 28665.
