Frances Carr, 91, of Gloversville, died April 3, 2018, at the Fulton Center.

Born August 31, 1926, in Gloversville, she was the daughter of the late James and Genoeffa Argenta Nicosia.

Frances was a glove worker who worked at many glove shops in the area, retiring from Grandoe Co.

She enjoyed gardening and painting, and was a member of the Ida McGinnis Senior Club and a communicat of the Church of the Holy Spirit.

On September 10, 1944, she married Eugene Casey Carr, who died in 2002.

Survived by her son Tim (Tina) Carr of Kelseyville, California; sisters Josephine Pecorina and Sue (Henry) Buanno; brothers, John, Paul and Vincenzo (Elaine) Nicosia; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jacqueline, Jessica, Jillian, Frances, and Lisha; great-grandchild; and great-great-granddaughter; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Catherine Todd; son, Glen Carr; brothers, Carmine, Joey, Pete, Sam, and Tony Nicosia; sisters, Madeline Meinecke, Mary Mascardi, and Crucifixa Nicosia.

Frances was stoic setting, an example by guiding us with her patience, unselfishness, loyalty, and unconditional love; we will all miss her dearly.

Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown.
