Mildred Eugenia “Genie” Fetgatter Berry, 94, of Danville, died April 3, 2018. Born in Central City, Illinois to Lemuel Milford and Johnnie Macel Keith Fetgatter, she was a switchboard operator for the Kentucky State Hospital and the telephone company in Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. “Red” Berry, a son, Dennis Berry and a granddaughter Megan Bowling. Survivors include three daughters, Sharon (Mike) Blondell, Gail (Larry Joe) Bowling, Denise (Dennis) Curtsinger; Beverly Berry and Paul Bowling, grandchildren Mackenzie Long, Michael (Linda) Bowling, Mathew (Becky) Bowling, Mark (Melanie) Bowling, Landon (Brandy) Berry, Michele Lee, Benjamin (Cassie) Rigney, Joshua (Jen) Rigney, and great-grandchildren Keely Bowling, Mason Bowling, Easton Bowling, Reece Bowling and Madison Bowling, Bryson Long, Craig Lee, Andrew Lee, Amelia Rigney, Ty Rigney, Dakota Rigney, Lincoln Rigney and Oliver Rigney. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday at Stith Funeral Home in Danville. Jeff Sparks will officiate.
