Jody was born to George and Lillie Bryant Jr.
He displayed his leadership skills early in life at the University of Nebraska-Omaha when he and some of his closest friends, created and incorporated their own fraternity, Phi Psi Nu.
Jody served his country in the United States Army and after his service , he dedicated his life to being a good father and mentor to young boys. He coached many of them in basketball where he won championships, created bonds and taught lessons they will carry with them.
He loved to go fishing with his dad, play golf and Tonk with friends, cooking was his therapy. Most of all he spent his time teaching his son the game of basketball.
