89 of Louisville, passed away suddenly Wednesday, April 4, 2018.
He was a native of Louisville, son of the late William and Edna Ianke Hays. He was a graduate of DuPont Manual High School and served in the Army during the Korean conflict.
Dick was a Commercial Real Estate Developer for Highbaugh & Highbaugh, a founding member and President of Sportsmen Supper Club of Louisville, past Board Member of the Kentucky Derby Festival for 15 years, Executive Director of the Foster Brooks Pro Celebrity Golf Tournament, past president of the Prudy Hill Dock Association at Lake Cumberland, Past City Commissioner for the City of Hurstbourne, Director of Hospitality for the ABA Kentucky Colonels, a Kentucky Colonel and member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Russell Hays, children, Gary Peak (Cathy), Pamela Williams (Doug), Lisa Cameron (Ross), Robert Peak; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Rubin (Andrew), Susan Hinshaw (John), Eric Cameron (Michelle), Julie Simon (Mark), Lindsay Cameron, Sara McConda (David), Carter Williams, Ashley Williams, Luke Williams; and sixteen great-grandchildren with two more due this summer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
