Virginia Sox Cross, 89, of North Charleston, SC, a homemaker, died Wednesday evening in a Charleston hospital.

Her memorial service will be 1:00 PM Saturday afternoon, April 14, 2018, in the Friendship United Methodist Church, Cross. The family will receive friends at the CHURCH from 12:00 until the hour of service on Saturday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, 300 West Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC 29461 to assist with funeral expenses or to the Hollings Cancer Center, 171 Ashley Ave, Charleston, SC 29425.

Mrs. Cross was born October 12, 1928, in West Columbia SC, a daughter of Ira Z. Sox and Catherine A. Hook Sox. She was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church, Wayfair Camping Club, Eastern Starr of Hannahan and the Senior Citizen House of North Charleston. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and traveling with Top of the Line Tours. Ms. Cross was predeceased by two brothers Howell Sox, and Clayton Sox.

Surviving are, her daughter, Jane Cross Allen, of North Charleston; grandchild, Florrieanne Frances Young; and three sisters, Jeanette Szamray of Pelion, Mickie Wilson of Greenville, and Annie Stone of West Columbia.
