Barbara Ann Queen Farr, 79, passed away on March 29, 2018 at Care Partners Hospice in Asheville, NC.

She was born on July 14, 1942 in Asheville, North Carolina in Buncombe County.

Barbara is preceded in death by her son, Shannon Farr; her brother, Charles Jack Queen; her father Charles Frank Queen; and her mother, Lela Mae Queen.

Barbara attended Biltmore High School, and studied at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. She retired from the medical and service. Barbara loved spending time with all of her family. Her ministry was caring for others.

Barbara is survived by her nephews, Robert Franklin Queen and James Brian Queen of Columbia, SC; her great nieces and nephews; godson Jared; and loving cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 8th, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Woodlawn Cemetery on Cypress Drive in Asheville, with Alex Player officiating.
