Lawrence William "Buddy" Foster Jr., 92, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. He was born May 12, 1925 in Toulminville, Alabama, son of the late Lawrence and Thelma (Stewart) Foster.

Buddy was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a 56 year member and past commander of the American Legion Post #239 where he was part of the Color Guard, 40 et 8, and called bingo for over 40 years. He was a founding member of the Lawrenceburg Fire Company #3, member of the Aurora Eagles and was Man of the Year in 2008. He retired from Chevron after 32 years.

Survivors include his two sons: Lawrence William "Bubba" (Karen) Foster III, Cleves, OH and Richard Lee (Patrick Lynch) Foster, Spanish Fort, AL; four daughters: Genie (Tim) Sanford, Lawrenceburg, IN, Cecelia "Pete" (David) McCafferty, Daphne, AL, Christine Faith (Dan) Cornett, Lawrenceburg, IN, Carlyn (Alan Archer) Wilburn, Vevay, IN; one brother, Buford Courtney (Sandra) Foster, Fairhope, AL; 22 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maxine; one grandson; two great-grandchildren; four sisters; and four brothers.

Interment in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
