Ed was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of 48 years, Alice Gregory. Born in New York City, Edward was an 'All Star' high school football player. He was a graduate of the New York Maritime Academy and a former member of the Coast Guard. Following his military service, Edward Gregory attended the New York Institute of Technology and became a police officer in New York City. For his final years as part of the NYPD, Edward Gregory was Captain of the precinct in Riverdale, NY.
In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by his sons Patrick (wife: Melinda) and Michael, and his grandchildren Christopher, Kelly, and Ryan.
Church services will be held for Edward Gregory at The Church St. Pius X, 300 Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ 08731 on Saturday, April 14, at 10:30 am. His cremains will be interred and a military service held at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ on Monday, April 16 at 9:30 am.
