Guy F. Dale, 85, of Ingleside Retirement Home, North Franklin Street, died Sunday of respiratory failure at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Elsmere.
Mr. Dale was owner of the Dale Bookstore, Ninth Street, for 45 years before retiring in 1965. He was a Navy veteran of World War I and World War II. He was a member of the Gen. W.W. Atterbury Post 3420, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the "Day Committee" of Delaware Post 1, American Legion.
His wife, Jean, died in 1959. He has no immediate survivors.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Krienen-Griffith Funeral Hone, 1400 Kirkwood Highway, Elsmere, where friends may call one hour before the service. Burial will bein in Riverview Cemetery, 33rd and Market streets.
