Leonard D. Myers, 95, of Kansas City, KS, died Monday, April 2, 2018. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, at Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, KS. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the donor's choice. Leonard was born June 26, 1922, in Kansas City, KS. He was a graduate of Rosedale High School in 1940. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. After the war Leonard and his brother, William, owned and operated a service station and grocery store in Rosedale until the late '60s. After the businesses closed he worked for Piper School District, retiring in 1989. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley, son Robert and siblings William, Willard and Jeannette. Leonard is survived by his children Richard and his wife Donna Myers, Tina and her husband Wesly Kline, Dale Myers, 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
