"Sarah C. Romeiser passed away at her home July 15, 1835, after an illness of one week, at the age of seventy-six years, six months and 20 days.

Sarah C. Rockhold was born December 25, 1858, near Utica, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Frank Romeiser of Utica, Missouri, October 17th, 1883. Her husband preceded her in death 37 years ago. To this union three children were born, Edward, Charlie and Lawrence, Edward and Lawrence having preceded her in death and Charlie of the home. She united with the Methodist Church of Utica when quite young and always remained a devout Christian.

She leaves to mourn her loss one son, Charlie; three grandchildren; two brothers, Asa Rockhold of Mooresville, Mo., and Julian Rockhold of Ft Morgan, Colo.; and one sister, Mrs. R. J. Lee of Chillicothe, Mo.

She became a member of Royal Neighbors 32 years ago. Of her it may well be said, no task was too hard, no road was too long for her to travel. Her sweet and charming personality made her loved by all who knew her. She quietly passed away as do the flowers, that after blooming in their full glory, silently wilt and fall to the ground, their mission fulfilled.

We who are finite can neither add to or take away from the record she made for herself. To her dear ones we offer our sympathy. To her we say goodbye, but only for a little while." The Chillicothe Constitution-Tribune, July 23, 1935
