Jerry graduated from Pauls Valley High School and attended Oklahoma University. At a young age Jerry worked for Wackers and Western Auto before entering business with his father-in-law Durward Crews. Jerry later opened and operated his own business in downtown Pauls Valley known as Allied Finance for more than 20 years.
Throughout his life Jerry always looked to help others. He enjoyed volunteering at his church, First United Methodist church of Wynnewood, and spent countless hours volunteering for Kiwanis Club of Wynnewood, along with many other activities benefiting the community. But most of all Jerry enjoyed spending time with his wife Vicki and raising their children Jon Mark and Kimberly. He loved spending hours at the ball field, at band concerts, dance recitals, and countless other activities with the kids. Jerry always enjoyed taking the family to Cedar Blue on the lake to fish and ride in the boat.
After retiring, he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching westerns on TV. He always looked forward to his granddaughter Londyn Kate coming to visit him. Jerry loved his entire family and wanted nothing more in life than for everyone to be ok!
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Kenneth; Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Vicki (Crews): two children, Jon Mark and wife Stacy (Cohrs), and daughter Kimberly, one grand-daughter Londyn Kate Yates; Brothers Wyatt and wife Mary, Terry and wife Vickie, sisters June Yates and husband Al Dubois, Rose Bobbitt, and Doris Sowell and numerous nieces and nephews.
