Horncastle News 12-8-44: News has been received by his wife of the death while serving with the Indian Command, of Pte. Joseph Arthur Cade, fourth so of the late Mr. Cade and Mrs. Cade of Bucknall. He had been suffering from malaria, and died from gastro enteritis. Pte, Cade went overseas in 1940, and before the war was employed at Bardney Sugar Beet Factory. He leaves a widow, formerly, Miss F. Mumby, of Grimsby.
