Chuck was born to Theodore William Smythe and Clara Rossen in Idaho Springs Colorado in 1931. Chuck became a USMC member and saw service in Korea when it was at its worst . After his service he met Mamie in Colorado and found his way to Texas where he became a member of the Charlie Arthur Payne family and eventually married the second daughter Mamie Lou. They found their way back to Colorado where Chuck worked in hard rock mining for twenty eight years and they then came back to Texas where they lived together until Mamie passed from this world . Chuck then traveled some and helped care for his Mother In Law for a number of years until she past from this life. Chuck had a battle with ALS the last years of his life. When he passed from this world he was cremated as was Mamie. Their ashes were joined together in a little casket and now they will spend eternity "Together Again"
