Matthew Ronald Ballard

Our dear, sweet, husband, daddy, son, grandson, brother, and friend, returned to his heavenly home on April 2, 2018 due to an accident while enjoying his affection for the great outdoors. Matthew was born July 18, 1979 in Murray, Utah to Ronald Eugene Ballard and Jeanine Jessee Ballard. He married the love of his life, Stephanie Sorensen in Draper, Utah, May 19, 2001. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on May 19, 2006. Matthew grew to love the Savior Jesus Christ. He loved his family, his church, and all who came in contact with him. To him, life was about making memories with his family and serving his fellow men. He had an uncanny skill to fix anything run by a motor. With a passion, he loved his children. He loved the young people he served in his ward and was always willing to serve. He will be sorely missed. But our joyous memories with him will live on. He is survived by his beloved wife Stephanie (Sorensen) and their six children: Sammantha (16), Parker Matthew (14), Aubrey (13), Haven (11), Isabelle (8), Ethan Matthew (6); his parents Ronald Eugene Ballard (Jeanine); his sister Jenny Johnson (Dan); his brothers Brent (Cortnie), and Shawn; grandparents; in laws, and many relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11:00 at the LDS Stake Center at 2450 West 10400 South, South Jordan, Utah. Viewings will be on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 S), South Jordan, Utah and on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the service at the church. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
