Manitowoc - Gloria F. Ruppelt, age 94, a Manitowoc resident, died Friday, March 30, 2018 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

She was born on February 20, 1924, daughter of the late Elmer and Esther (Genrich) Wills. Gloria was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. She volunteered with the USO during WWII. On September 9, 1947, Gloria was united in marriage to the love of her life, Eugene L. Ruppelt in Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2004. Gloria was employed as a secretary in the accounting department of Manitowoc Company for over 17 years before taking time off to raise her family. Gloria dearly loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed playing Bridge and belonged to numerous clubs over the years. She looked forward to vacationing with her sister and brother-in-law in Florida for many years. She also enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Three Lakes Wisconsin. Both Gloria and Eugene loved to dance, they belonged to a dance club for many years.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Robert and Kathy Ruppelt; one granddaughter: Amy (Mike) Smith, all of Manitowoc; four great-grandchildren: Tristan, Lexi, Casey & Zander; one brother-in-law: William Poulos; two special nieces and their families: Carrie (Gene) Hancock and their children: Emily and Jennifer, Cinthia Kiepert and her son: Allen. Many other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband: Eugene Ruppelt, one sister: Calla Poulus and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Merlin and Marion Ruppelt.

Private family services will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
