David J. Hood, 57, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in Silsbee, Texas. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April. 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Lott, Texas with Reverend Stephen James officiating.
David was born April 7, 1960, to Elwin and LaVerne (Holmes) Hood in Pueblo, Colorado. He was a resident of Lott. David was welder inspector for the pipeline industry.
Survivors include his daughters, Trevelyn King of Caldwell, and Dinecia Hood of Somerville; grandchildren: Shiah King, Raelin King, Eben King, Borgan King, David Blalock and Cloey Blalock; father, Elwin Hood of Pueblo, Colorado, mother, LaVerne Powers of Lott; sisters, Terrie Rashall and husband, Dennis of Silsbee, Juanita Hogg and husband, Michael of Lott, Patricia Chism and husband Doug of Temple, June Williams and husband, Dennis of Austin; brother, Austen Powers and wife, Mali of Waco; nieces, LeyAnna Odom, Ashley Hogg, Danielle Dodd, Cheyenne Dodd; nephews, Troy Hogg, Eathen Powers, and Brandon Powers.
