Harold Witherspoon, age 88, passed away in Sanger, CA, on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, due to heart failure. Born the oldest child to Claude and Lera Witherspoon, he grew up in Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army for two years. He was a resident of Sanger, CA since 1957. He was a construction superintendent for many years, and a member of Quail Lake Community Church in Sanger.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Joy Witherspoon. They had no children. He was also preceded in death by his younger brother, Bobby Witherspoon.
He is survived by his sister, Mayria Damron and husband Bobby of Boyd, TX; and niece, Christl Kandarian and husband Steve of Sanger, CA. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Beloved uncle and loving brother, he will be missed.
Visitation will be held at Wallin's Sanger Funeral Home on Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Chapel Service will be held at Wallin's Sanger Funeral Home on Friday, March 23, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., with interment to follow at Sanger Cemetery. A Memorial Luncheon will be held at Grace Community Church in Sanger, immediately following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Quail Lake Community Church, 3350 N.
