James Everett Gatewood born on July 10, 1936 to James Edward Gatewood and Stella Irene Ledbetter Gatewood Lewis in Bragg City, MO. He joined his family in Heaven March 26, 2018. He is preceded in death by both his parents, his wife Jane Gatewood, his children Cecil Gatewood and Cinda Haralson, siblings, Jesse Eugene Gatewood, Ella Laverne Hyde, Linda Marie Gatewood, and Mary Pauline Chappell. Surviving him are his children Teresa Garrison (Donnie), James Gatewood and Terry Gatewood. Siblings Alice Lansdale, Norma Counce, Jim Gatewood (Ginger), Robert Gatewood (Delose) and Clark Gatewood (Geraldine).He was blessed with 11 grandchildren , 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews and friends. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served with the Arkansas National Guard. He enjoyed gardening, horse racing and slot machines. He had a lively spirit and was quite the storyteller and will be greatly missed. Graveside service will be held April 4, 2018 at Whitaker Cemetery, Egypt, AR at 2:00PM.
