Danny Ray Turner, 60, passed away Tuesday March 27, 2018 in his home of natural causes.

Danny was not fond of traditions funerals; therefore, a Picnic Celebration of Life will be held near his childhood home at Albert Oakland Park, Shelter 1 on Sunday, May 6 at 2:00 p.m. Friends and loved ones, please join the family for music, food, drink and Dan stories. Attire is casual. Burial will be private at Memorial Cemetery.

He was born on Feb. 19, 1958 to Charles Raymond and Illa Mae (Foster) Turner in Columbia.

He worked as a laborer and janitor in his early years. Later in life, he acted as caregiver to his mother and various relatives.

He enjoyed listening to old country / country rock music, taking dogs for a run at the Peabody coal strip pits, walking his dog in the park, spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks and boat rides on the river with his brother. He loved dogs and cats and often said he preferred animals to most people. However, he loved his family and good friends deeply; his frequent mantra, "Love you...from the heart".

He is survived by two sisters, a brother, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends.

He greatly missed those who preceded him in death including his mother; father; infant brother; grandparents; numerous aunts, uncles and close cousins. He need miss them no more, his soul embraced and peaceful at last.
