Mrs. Mae Belle Wright, 96, member of Covington First Presbyterian Church, died April 3, 2018 at her home. She was a retired assistant County Clerk, and was honored in 2004 by then-mayor Russ Bailey's declaration of Mae Belle Wright Day. The widow of Ruben B. Wright, she leaves her sons, Barry (Bonnie) Wright of Covington and David (Melanie) Wright of Brighton; her brother Lawrence Edward "Moochie" Shelton of Covington; and grandchildren James David Wright, Preston Blair (Taylor) Wright, David Thomas Wright, and Madeline Claire Wright. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Jefferson Walk Shelton and Audra Louise Bramble Shelton; brother Gene "Tuney" Shelton; and sister Mary Lois Graves. Visitation for Mrs. Wright will be 5-7 Friday, April 6, and from 1PM until funeral services officiated by Rev. Dan Camp at 2PM, Saturday, April 7, all at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home.
