Basil Applegate, 40, Yorktown painting contractor, died suddenly at 3:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home. The body was taken to the Richman-Prillaman funeral parlors. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. He had been a lifelong resident of Yorktown and is survived by his father, Gola Applegate; two sons, Carroll and Elmer Applegate, all of Yorktown, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Morgan, of Muncie. The body will be returned to the home this afternoon.
