Kimberly McGee

Exeter - Kimberly (Kim) Ann McGee, 58, passed away into the arms of the Lord on March 18, 2018, surrounded by her family. Kim, the third of four daughters born to Gordon and Elizabeth Kuhrt, was welcomed into the world on October 12, 1959 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Her father was a U.S. military veteran, and so her childhood was spent traveling all over the United States and parts of Europe. After graduating from Santana High School in Santee, California, Kim ultimately received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of San Francisco. She had a passion for helping others, and eventually became a certified paralegal in order to pursue that desire. At the age of 23, she met the love of her life, Mike. The couple married in 1984 and settled down in Exeter, California. During their nearly 35 years together, they raised three beautiful children. More recently, in 2015, she was blessed with her very first grandchild, whom she adored more than anything. Kim was the most wonderful wife, mother, Nonni, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. She exuded warmth and love to everyone she met and touched the lives of family, friends, acquaintances, and strangers alike. Her strength, courage, and perseverance was an inspiration to all who knew her or had the fortune to ever meet her. Kim was predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Elizabeth Kuhrt; and her in-laws, James L. and Dorothy McGee. She is survived by her loving husband, Mike McGee (Exeter, CA); her three children, Amanda Lebo (Redondo Beach, CA), Sara McGee (San Francisco, CA), and Michael McGee (Visalia, CA); her son-in-law, Matthew Lebo (Redondo Beach, CA); her grandson, Luca Lebo (Redondo Beach, CA); her sisters, Barbara Davison (Los Osos, CA), Gloria Kuhrt (Alpine, CA), and Kristina Brooks (Visalia, CA); as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Mary's Catholic Church, 608 N. Church Street in Visalia. A Celebration of Life reception will follow immediately afterward at the Exeter Memorial Building.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Kim's name to Exeter , 251 E. Pine Street, Exeter, California 93221.

Arrangements by Smith Family Chapel, Exeter, California.
