Byron Henry Nienstedt was born on July 20, 1931 in Winfield, Kansas to William Wallace Nienstedt and Louisa Cora Nienstedt (Martin). He served honorably in both the United States Army and United States Air Force being stationed in England, Germany, and Korea, along with multiple military bases in the United States. He married Lenora Canary Davis on October 4, 1958 at the Eastside Baptist Church in Leesville, Louisiana. He is survived by his wife; brother, Gary M. Nienstedt; five children, William (Melody) Nienstedt, Lee Ann (Mark) Trautman, Lynn Nienstedt-Mason, Martin (Christie) Nienstedt, Carl (Leigh) Nienstedt; and 11 grandchildren; as well as 8 great grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Funeral Services will be held at the Neosho Rapids Community Building on Monday, February 29 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers or cards, the family requests memorial contributions may be given to Hospice and Homecare of Reno County.
